I wasn't always into photography. As a child, I was surrounded by hundreds of books on art and culture, the influence of my father being an art and English teacher. I loved to sketch portraits and draw European scenes I found in glossy photobooks but I wasn't into taking photos myself. I also never imagined I'd live in Europe! How life can change our paths!
Fast forward two decades and a whole lot of time at university and in construction company offices and I've found that 'something' that makes me desperate to jump out of bed each morning - photography. However, a photo is only a trigger for people to start talking and that's what I truly love, the communication that comes from photography, whether streets, landscapes or weddings. Life is such a fantastic experience and the closer we get to each other, the more we understand the magic of why we're here.
These days I photograph exclusively with analog film, having left digital behind about 1.5 years ago. I love the extraordinary dynamic range film gives us and the added enjoyment of discovering unused films! Most of all, I love the process of not looking at an LCD screen but enjoying everything happening around me. In our digital-everything era, analog is synonymous with freedom and I want as much freedom as possible! I want to see all the little things happening around me and drink in the experience of being alive.
If that also sounds like you, well I'm very glad you're here! Feel free to look around and I'd love to hear from you!

I'm rarely photographed! ...and then it's blurry in a candlelit bar after closing time from someone I'll most-likely never see again...
