Three little words. It is often the shortest sentences that have the biggest impact as we navigate our way through life. A mate of mine had corrective heart surgery just before Christmas to fix an irregular rhythm. In the lead-up to his operation, we discussed the complications and the 'what-ifs' that naturally arise when a machine robotically enters the heart. When it comes to such stuff, I'm a paranoid mess. What amazed me was his relaxed, almost nonchalant, attitude to surgery on his most vital organ. "I don't mind" was his response to the situation. "I trust the surgeon and his team! Anyway, isn't it incredible the era we live in? So many things are possible!"
I was flabbergasted.
Quietly, I decided to learn from his attitude and make changes in my own perspective. 2018 - a fresh look at life! Let's worry less, trust more and see the wonder in the magic of our time.
